City of Lakeside Park Special Meeting Minutes for 12/22/2025
CALL TO ORDER: Mayor Markgraf called to order the special meeting of Lakeside Park City Council at 6:30 P.M. on Monday, December 22, 2025, in the Lakeside Park City Building located at 9 Buttermilk Pike. Those in attendance were Mayor Markgraf, City Clerk Teresa Bruck and City Attorney Greg Voss. The council members present included Tom Bernheimer, Dennis Landwehr, Mary Ann Thaman, Brian Waite and Dave Wolfer.
MAYORS REPORT:
The mayor advised this special meeting was for the purpose of interviewing candidates to fulfil a vacant seat on the city council. He and the city attorney would be included in the interviews for observation only. The council members would do the interviews and elect a new council member.
Ms. Thaman made a motion to enter Executive Session per KRS 61.810 (F) discussion on possible councilmember appointment at 6:35PM, and Mr. Bernheimer seconded the motion. Voice vote was taken of 5 Ayes, 0 Nays and 0 Abstain. Candidates included: Kevin Esmeier, Sam Keith, Christina Noel-Thorstensen, Ryan Shields, George Best, Michael Lippert, and Tyler Gastright.
Council members returned from Executive Session at 8:05PM. Mr. Wolfer made a motion to return to council, and Mr. Waite seconded the motion. Voice vote was taken of 5 Ayes, 0 Nays and 0 Abstain
CITY ATTORNEY REPORT:
Mr. Voss conducted the reading of Executive Order No. 10-2025 re-appointment of Brian Waite with alternate Dennis Landwehr to the Planning and Development Service Committee.
Mr. Bernheimer made the motion to adopt Executive Order No. 10-2025, and Ms. Thaman seconded the motion. Voice vote was taken of 5 Ayes, 0 Nays and 0 Abstain
Mr. Voss then read Executive Order No. 11-2025 to appoint Ms. Tracy Hart as the Recreation Director for the City of Lakeside Park, Kentucky.
Ms. Thaman made the motion to adopt Executive Order No. 11-2025, and Mr. Wolfer seconded the motion. Voice vote was taken of 5 Ayes, 0 Nays and 0 Abstain
Last, Mr. Voss conducted the reading of Municipal Order No. 10-2025 to appoint George Best to the vacant council seat.
Mr. Landwehr made a motion to adopt Municipal Order No. 10-2025 appointing George Best to the vacant council seat, and Mr. Bernheimer seconded the motion. Voice vote was taken of 5 Ayes, 0 Nays and 0 Abstain
ADJOURNMENT:
At 8:15PM Mr. Wolfer made the motion to adjourn the meeting, and Mr. Landwehr seconded the motion. Voice vote taken 5 Ayes, 0 Nays; motion carried.
